The low-cost airline, fastjet has announced a remarkable 94 percent on-time performance in Tanzania during January 2018. Across its entire network (including bases in Zimbabwe and Mozambique), the airline achieved 91 on-time performance average.

“fastjet’s objective is to deliver consistent on-time departures for our Guests as part of our overall improved customer service strategy,” fastjet Tanzania spokesperson Lucy Mbogoro said.

She further said that Fastjet will also be investing in upgrading its shops over the next couple of months and improve overall customer experience.

“Last year was a challenging period for fastjet, with a fleet replacement programme, network realignment and administrative changes. During this period we implemented some schedule changes and experienced flight disruptions which were unfortunate, and we apologise sincerely for that, but fastjet has successfully reclaimed its on time performance delivery to our Guests, she insisted.

Fastjet flies between Dar es Salaam and Mbeya, Kilimanjaro, Mwanza, Lusaka and Harare with its fleet of recently-introduced Embraer E190 aircraft.
